Family-friendly
The Kelso Family Homestead Farm has a 7-acre blueberry orchard with over 7,000 mature plants which has produced high bush blueberries for the past 40 years. By planting 15 varieties of blueberries, fruit should be ready to pick in a typical season, from mid-July through mid-August. In 2024, ripening is happening sooner, so the Early Blues were ready to pick on July 4!
This year we will again be welcoming pick-your-own customers. Many friends and acquaintances return to the farm every year to pick their own blueberries. We also hope to hire workers to maintain the orchard by weeding and mowing around the bushes.
